Unauthenticated account creation via crafted HTTP request

Improper input validation in Proofpoint Enterprise Protection allows remote attackers to create attacker-controlled Secure Reader accounts. The Proofpoint Encryption endpoint accepts a specially crafted HTTP request without sufficient validation and provisions an additional account; Proofpoint has not disclosed the affected parameter or code path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the limited account can send trusted email to users in administrator-configured domains.
