Stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Royal Addons for Elementor 1.3.971 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via widget attributes. Flip Carousel, Flip Box, Post Grid, and Taxonomy List rendering paths output contributor-supplied attributes without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor access is required to store a payload that executes in a visitor's browser whenever the crafted page is viewed, exposing that visitor's session.
