Service interruption via negative tensor dimensions
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Improper input validation in OneFlow 0.9.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service by passing negative shapes to oneflow.zeros or oneflow.ones. The tensor-creation APIs fail to reject negative size values before processing the requested shape, causing an unhandled error that interrupts the calling application. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled shape values into either API; the documented consequence is availability loss only.
