CVE-2024-36598Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via disguised PHP upload

Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Arbitrary file upload in Project Worlds Life Insurance Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted image. insertClient.php accepts a .php upload when GIF magic bytes satisfy its image check, leaves the executable extension intact, and stores the file under uploads. The published proof of concept bypasses the login redirect and invokes the stored PHP file over HTTP, although CISA-ADP records low privileges as required.
