Service crash via LDAP filter logging overflow

Buffer overflow in 389-ds-base on affected Red Hat products allows remote attackers to crash Directory Server with a crafted LDAP query. The back-ldbm encode function can overrun its fixed BUFSIZ output while escaping a long LDAP filter value for diagnostic logging. Reachability requires filter logging to process the crafted value; the reported consequence is a directory-service crash without data disclosure or modification.
