Administrator-level code execution via unsafe package extraction
Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Arbitrary code execution in NukeViet CMS 4.5.05 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through a module upload. The administrative extension uploader insufficiently validates an application archive before extracting attacker-supplied PHP into a web-accessible root location. Exploitation requires the highest-privileged administrator account and interaction with the upload workflow; the extracted PHP then executes through a browser request.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
