Authenticated code execution via extension deserialization
Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Deserialization in NukeViet CMS 4.5.05 and earlier and eGovernment 1.2.02 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The /admin/extensions/download.php and /admin/extensions/upload.php handlers deserialize attacker-controlled data, allowing a PHP object chain to reach code execution. Low-privileged access to the administrative extension workflow is required; successful exploitation runs code in the web application's server context.
