Unauthenticated trusted-host bypass via session connection
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025
Improper communication-source verification in Fortinet FortiClient EMS allows remote attackers to bypass trusted-host restrictions. Fortinet has not disclosed how the session-connection handler fails to validate the peer source before enforcing the trusted-host rule. The affected sets are 6.4.0 through 6.4.4, 6.4.7 through 6.4.9, 7.0.0 through 7.0.13, 7.2.0 through 7.2.4, and 7.4.0; no prior privileges are required, but exploitation has high complexity and weakens only integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
