Credential disclosure via unmasked audit-log passwords
Published Aug 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Plaintext password exposure in affected Zabbix 5.0, 6.0, 6.4, and 7.0 builds allows remote authenticated users to read audit-log credentials. The frontend audit log records and displays password values without masking them. The exposure requires audit logging to be enabled and access to audit records; extracted passwords support account impersonation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
