Low-privilege access to server upgrade actions
Published Jul 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Privilege escalation in Symantec PAM 3.4.6 and 4.1.0 through 4.1.7 allows remote authenticated users to invoke server upgrade actions. Broadcom has not published the affected endpoint, authorization check, or request-handling error that permits those actions. A low-privileged PAM account and adjacent network access are required; reported impact is limited to unauthorized integrity changes in the appliance upgrade workflow.
