Stored XSS via unescaped Counter title tag
Published Apr 22, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WPDeveloper Essential Addons for Elementor Pro 5.8.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via Counter pages. The Counter widget accepts the user-controlled title_html_tag attribute without sufficient sanitization and emits it into page markup without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser whenever the crafted page is viewed.
