Unauthenticated log disclosure via sessionless CGI request
Published Aug 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Improper authentication in Swissphone DiCal-RED 4009 allows remote attackers to read device logs through the administrative web interface. The cgi-bin/fdmcgiwebv2.cgi display-file action returns requested log content even when the QSESSIONID cookie and all other session data are absent. Adjacent-network access to the device interface is sufficient, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of log contents and other files exposed by that function.
