Operation-message disclosure via unauthenticated TCP service
Published Aug 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 23, 2024
Information disclosure in Swissphone DiCal-RED 4009 allows physically proximate attackers to read operation messages over TCP port 2101. The device's port-2101 network server accepts unauthenticated TCP clients and continuously sends them data, including messages as the device processes them. Physical access to a reachable device network is required; disclosed data can reveal current emergencies and possible vehicle positions or routes.
