Insufficient entropy in viz-rs Nano ID before 0.4.0 allows attackers to predict IDs generated for security-sensitive uses. The gen macro masks each random byte with alphabet length minus one, so base62 uses only 32 symbols and base58 only 16. Exposure arises when an application uses an affected generator for session tokens or other security identifiers, enabling brute-force guessing.
