Privileged TSEG memory access via SMM buffer
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in AMD processor SMM firmware allows local users with administrative privileges to read or write limited TSEG memory. The SMM communications buffer does not adequately validate input before using it for memory access, permitting operations beyond the intended buffer into TSEG. High privileges are required, and the bounded consequence is loss of confidentiality or integrity in that limited memory region, with no availability impact reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
