Published Jun 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Reza Khan WebP & SVG Support 1.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through SVG uploads. The upload path referenced in core/bootstrap.php permits SVG content without removing embedded script elements before storage. Author-level access is sufficient to plant the file, and the payload executes in the WordPress site's origin when another user loads the SVG.
