Cross-context data access via unisolated JPEG registers
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Improper access control in affected AMD GPUs allows local users or guest OS users to read and write another process's or VM's data. The VCN-JPEG hardware exposes register space for JPEG cores assigned to a different execution context because that register space is not isolated correctly. Exploitation requires low local privileges and specific cross-context conditions, and it grants arbitrary access to victim data without reported network reachability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
