CVE-2024-36315

Local information disclosure via LFENCE serialization bypass

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

LFENCE serialization failure in affected AMD processors allows local users to disclose sensitive information through speculative execution. The processor does not fully enforce LFENCE as a speculation barrier, allowing execution to proceed transiently past the intended serialization point. Exploitation requires local low-privilege code, high complexity, and specific execution conditions; the reported consequence is confidentiality loss only.
