SMRAM disclosure or modification via improperly validated buffer
Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026
Improper input validation in AMD processor SMM firmware allows local privileged attackers to read or write outside a communications buffer. The SMM handler fails to enforce communications-buffer bounds before accessing attacker-controlled data, permitting out-of-bounds SMRAM access. Ring 0 or equivalent high privilege is required; successful exploitation exposes or alters SMRAM data but does not interrupt availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
