Administrator-level stored XSS via unsanitized ID setting
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Faktorystudios easyEvent 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via plugin settings. The plugin saves the ID setting from its administration page without sanitizing it and renders the value without output escaping. The demonstrated path requires administrator-level access; it remains exploitable when unfiltered_html is disabled, and the saved payload executes when the injected page is viewed.
