Code execution via unrestricted ECF communication channel
Published Jun 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper endpoint restriction in RICOH Streamline NX PC Client 3.6.x and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code over an adjacent network. Ricoh identifies the ECF library implementation as the locus but has not disclosed how it accepts or processes communication from unintended endpoints. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation gives attacker-controlled code access to local data and services.
