CVE-2024-36251Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Device reboot via malformed billing-page parameter

Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Sharp MFP firmware 250, 404, 502, and 611 allows remote attackers to reboot devices via a crafted HTTP request. The billcodedef_sub_sel.html handler dereferences an invalid 0x000000d0 pointer when curr_page_url gains a trailing question mark, crashing the main process. The page is reachable without authentication, but the attacker must reach the MFP web interface on the corporate network; the crash forces a reboot.
