Stored XSS via unvalidated form values
Published May 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in AnsibleGuy WebUI before 0.0.21 allows remote authenticated users to run HTML in another user's browser. Write serializers for job, repository, permission, alert, and nonsecret credential fields accepted HTML-bearing strings, while API result handlers assigned returned messages to innerHTML without escaping. Exploitation requires a low-privileged account and another user to execute a job action; attacker-controlled browser code can read or modify data in that user's session.
