CVE-2024-36108Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via anonymous-owner matcher bypass

Published May 31, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024

Improper authorization in CasGate before 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data through unauthenticated API requests. The api-model-built-in matcher treats an anonymous session as the owner when a GET id parameter is anonymous/anonymous, even when list handlers ignore that identifier. No account or user interaction is required; exposed endpoint data can include private keys and tokens that enable account takeover or access to other services.
