Unauthenticated code execution via encoded path traversal
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in Apache OFBiz before 18.12.14 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted web request. ControlFilter normalizes request URLs without rejecting encoded dot segments, allowing an unauthenticated view path to resolve to ProgramExport. No authentication or user interaction is required, and ProgramExport runs attacker-supplied Groovy code in the server process.
