CVE-2024-36074Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via EasyLock Zip Slip

Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Zip Slip in Netwrix Endpoint Protector 5.9.3 and earlier and CoSoSys Unify 7.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Windows agent downloads EasyLocks.zip from the management server and libzip extracts entries without validating names, allowing traversal outside the destination directory. Administrative access to the management server is required; a crafted archive can replace an agent batch file and run attacker-controlled PowerShell on managed endpoints.
