CVE-2024-36073Network attack vector

Endpoint command execution via shadowing configuration overwrite

Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in Endpoint Protector through 5.9.3 and Unify through 7.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute endpoint commands. The agent shadowing component fails to protect sensitive configuration from an administrator-controlled Netwrix server and uses overwritten values to execute system commands. Administrative server access is required; successful exploitation runs commands with SYSTEM privileges on Windows or root privileges on Unix-like endpoints.
