Root command execution via crafted log filenames

Remote code execution in Netwrix Endpoint Protector 5.9.3 and earlier and CoSoSys Unify 7.0.6 and earlier lets remote attackers run root commands. The UploadLogPutPacket handler appends an unvalidated uploadId to a temporary log path, enabling traversal; a root worker later passes crafted filenames to shell_exec. No prior authentication is required because client registration issues a certificate, and successful exploitation grants full control of the management server.
