Database disclosure via unprepared room type query
Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in ThimPress WP Hotel Booking 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive database data through its room-search REST endpoint. The /wphb/v1/rooms/search-rooms handler incorporates the insufficiently escaped room_type parameter into an existing SQL query without sufficient preparation. An unauthenticated network request is sufficient, and the confirmed consequence is database disclosure rather than a demonstrated server takeover.
