Mounted-share interruption via unlocked channel selection

Improper locking in the Linux SMB3 client allows remote attackers to interrupt mounted-share I/O through channel-selection races. cifs_pick_channel reads the session channel index and selects ses->chans[index] without holding chan_lock while teardown can change channel state. Exploitation requires a multichannel CIFS mount connected to a malicious, compromised, or on-path-controlled SMB server; the race can return a null or dying channel, causing I/O errors or a wedged mount.
