Unauthenticated object injection via shortcode deserialization
Published May 1, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
PHP object injection in INFINITUM FORM Geo Controller before 8.6.5 allows remote attackers to inject objects through a REST route. The /cache/shortcode route and cf_geoplugin_shortcode_cache AJAX action decode attacker-controlled options and pass the result to PHP unserialization. Impact requires a suitable POP gadget from another installed plugin or theme; such a chain can read or delete files or execute code.
