Application crash via corrupted vector state

Vector-state corruption in RISC-V Linux 6.8 through 6.8.4 allows local users to crash a vectorized application after a signal return. The rt_sigreturn() path invokes vectorized user_from_copy() while live vector state remains dirty, causing stale live state to overwrite task state restored from sigcontext. Triggering requires RISC-V vector execution, a signal-handler return, and a vector length above 128 bits under the default copy threshold.
