Local service interruption via page-reference leak

Page-reference leakage in the Linux kernel block layer allows local users to exhaust memory through unaligned buffers. The __bio_release_pages() loop counted pages from buffer length alone, omitting the starting offset when a buffer crossed a page boundary. A local low-privileged user able to submit affected block I/O can retain page references until memory pressure hangs or crashes the system.
