CVE-2024-3582Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via forged administrator settings request

Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Stored XSS in UnGallery 2.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts by inducing an administrator to submit crafted settings. The settings handler accepts fields such as gallery2 without CSRF validation or sanitization and later renders the stored value without escaping. An administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML; the submitted script is stored and executes when the affected value is rendered.
