Authenticated local file inclusion via path traversal
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in YAHMAN Word Balloon 4.21.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to include local PHP files. The server-side include path accepts a contributor-controlled filename without confining resolution to the intended directory. Contributor access is required; included files can disclose server data, and uploaded PHP content can execute in the WordPress process.
