Editor-level stored XSS via unsanitized slider options
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Cryout Creations Serious Slider 1.2.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into slider options. The slider option fields accept unfiltered attacker-controlled values and later render them into pages without sufficient output escaping. Editor-level access and a victim page view are required, and exposure is limited to multisite sites or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
