JavaScript execution via unescaped CSV preview
Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in MindsDB 23.6.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript when a user views a crafted CSV file. The file-preview interface renders CSV cell content into the web page without neutralizing embedded JavaScript. Exploitation requires a victim to view an attacker-supplied CSV and exposes data accessible to that browser session without interrupting the service.
