Subscriber-level widget modification via missing capability check
Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Dashboard To-Do List 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify dashboard widget data. The ardtdw_widgetsetup() function accepts and saves widget changes without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to alter the shared to-do list, while the published impact is limited to unauthorized data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
