Stored script execution via unescaped user attributes
Published Jun 8, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in gVectors Team wpDiscuz 7.6.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted attributes. The plugin insufficiently sanitizes user-supplied attributes and fails to escape them when rendering an injected page, causing the browser to run stored script content. Contributor-level access is required, and the script executes when another user opens the affected page, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
