Stored script execution via unsafe admin settings
Published Jun 3, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Tomas Cordero Safety Exit 1.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with admin access to run script in visitors' browsers. Administrative settings accept values without sufficient input sanitization and later render them without sufficient output escaping, storing attacker-supplied script in site pages. Exploitation requires administrator-level access plus either WordPress multisite or disabled unfiltered_html, and the script runs when another user visits an injected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
