Script execution via unescaped key reflection
Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Reflected XSS in MapTiler TileServer GL 4.4.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted vector-data URL. The data viewer templates insert the key query value into a JavaScript string in a script-selection block without context-appropriate encoding. A victim must open the crafted URL; the script then runs in the TileServer GL origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data for that origin.
