Unauthenticated page injection via unchecked import
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Social Link Pages 1.6.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to create arbitrary pages containing malicious scripts. The import_link_pages() function processes unauthenticated import requests without checking a WordPress capability before creating page content. No account is required, and the injected content can expose visitors to attacker-supplied scripts when the created pages are viewed.
