Script execution via unescaped login error parameter
Published May 30, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Cross-site scripting in FineSoft 8.0's login page allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in another user's browser. Following a failed login, the page renders the URL errorname value without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a victim to open the crafted URL, placing attacker-controlled HTML in the FineSoft page origin.
