Subscriber-level data extraction via unprepared sorting parameter
Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in Adenion GmbH Blog2Social 7.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via b2sSortPostType. The query construction in includes/B2S/Post/Item.php inserts the attacker-controlled sorting parameter into an existing SQL statement without sufficient escaping or preparation. Subscriber-level WordPress access is sufficient to append SQL syntax and extract sensitive information stored in the site's database.
