Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked setPath input
Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 29, 2024
Path traversal in iceice666 ResourcePack Server before 1.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to expose server files over HTTP. The setPath method in ResourcePackFileServer.kt accepts an arbitrary local path without verifying that it stays beneath the game directory. Any player with permission level 1 can select a readable file, after which the built-in HTTP server makes that file publicly accessible.
