Unauthenticated administrator access via password SQL injection
Published May 30, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in /hrm/user/ in SourceCodester Human Resource Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL. The login handler incorporates the password parameter into its SQL authentication predicate without neutralizing quote and operator syntax, so a tautology changes the query result. No account is required, and the demonstrated tautology grants attackers administrator access to employee and leave-management records.
