Administrator login bypass via password SQL injection
Published May 30, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Human Resource Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator login via the password parameter. The /hrm/index.php login handler places the submitted password in its authentication SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, so a tautology changes the query result. The published proof of concept uses a crafted password to authenticate anonymously as an administrator, exposing administrative data and functions.
