CVE-2024-35451Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated server-side requests via unrestricted favicon fetching

Published Nov 29, 2024 · Updated Dec 2, 2024

Server-side request forgery in LinkStack 2.7.9 through 4.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to trigger server-side HTTP requests. The favicon Blade component follows the custom-link URL, extracts its icon href, and downloads that resource without restricting its destination or file type. An authenticated user who can add a custom link and enable its website icon can place attacker-hosted PHP in a web-accessible path and request it for code execution.
