Privileged access via shared SSH private keys
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in Progress LoadMaster affected releases allow attackers to gain privileged access through the API. HA and cluster partner communications trust shared SSH private keys without first requiring a group-specific shared secret. Access to the same network as either partner and knowledge of its IP address are required; successful requests expose privileged functions and password material.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
