Application crash via unchecked SIP packet payload

Heap-based buffer overflow in Irontec sngrep 1.8.1 allows remote attackers to crash the application with a crafted SIP packet. The rtp_check_packet function reads four bytes beyond its heap allocation while parsing malformed packet data without validating the available payload length. The parser must inspect attacker-supplied traffic during live capture or PCAP analysis; the documented consequence is an sngrep process crash.
